Compare with or to?

What is the difference between compare to and compare with?
Any guesses??

Compare with is used when we compare two persons or two things
(things of same class are compared)

Rahul is often compared with his sister by the teachers.
The boss compared his presentation with mine and decided that my presentation was better.

Compare to is used when we compare a person to a thing or a thing to a person ( things of different class )
