Once Uncle Sharma was taking a walk on the beach. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. At a distance he could see Rahul who moving back and forth. As Uncle Sharma went near Rahul, he saw that there were hundreds of starfish lying on the sand. They had come with a high tide. Uncle Sharma asked Rahul, “Are you trying to put all the starfish back into the water? You are wasting your time. There are far too many starfish. Many of them are sure to die.”

But Rahul continued to pick up starfish one by one and throw them into the water. Uncle Sharma again said, “You must be crazy. The whole beach is covered with starfish. You cannot make much difference.”

Rahul said, “Uncle, if I can save the life of even one starfish, it will be worth it!” He then picked up one more starfish and threw it back into the sea.
