Prepositions

Prepositions

Let’s see if you can find what’s wrong with the following statements:

* Do not interfere in my work.
* He is in the committee.
* I have no pen to write.
* He is jealous with me.
* He has resigned from the post.

Could you find?
Well, what is wrong in each of these statements is the ‘preposition‘ used. Either the preposition used is incorrect or is not needed or is missing.
So, let’s put the prepositions correctly:

* Do not interfere with my work.
* He is on the committee.
* I have no pen to write with.
* He is jealous of me.
* He has resigned the post. ( from not required)

I hope next time you use any of these statements, you will be careful with the preposition you use.

( Answers to yesterday’s exercise on verbs:
