Little differences 11

Let us today deliberate on two words which are not very frequently used and hence are known by a few only.

Wreath and Wreathe.

Wreath ( pronounced with sound ‘th’ in the end ) is a noun and it means a circular band of flowers or any ring like formation
The president placed a wreath on gandhiji’s samadhi on his birth anniversary.

Wreathe ( pronounced with sound ‘d’, as in ‘th-at’, in the end ) is a verb and it means to adorn with wreath or to envelop or surround
Her face was wreathed with smiles while receiving her doctorate degree.
